After learning some basics, we will start to personalise the lessons to your child.

what is the best age for guitar lessons?
Any age, we’ve had students as young as 4 learn the guitar, all the way up to 70.
Mikey from Buick’s Music picked up his first guitar at 8 years old. But everyone is different.
As the parent or guardian, you’ll know when they are ready.
Learning guitar can be tricky and it all depend on the students willingness to give it a go.
is guitar hard to learn?
Starting with the basics is the best approach, as it can be tricky.
At Buick’s Music we have carefully curated a beginners course, that helps teach the fundamental skills while learning popular songs.
We don’t push the child to the next steps until they are ready to do so.
We recommend weekly lessons to ensure practice in-between lessons and to minimise things being forgotten between each lesson. However, fortnightly lessons are also available.

We believe even though grades are great. It does not – nor should define your child as a great musician. Grades are a great way to see their progression. However, at Buick’s Music, we leave that choice up to you. Music should be fun and stress-free for your child.
Yet, if this is something you’ll be interested in, we can tailor our lessons to learning and understanding instrumental grades.
